TikTok influencer Hadeer Abdel-Razek arrested over kidnapping charges

Security services in Cairo on Saturday arrested TikTok influencer Hadeer Abdel-Razek and her father inside a residential apartment in New Cairo, on charges of detaining a young man and forcing him to sign a trust receipt under threat.

The First Settlement Police Department received a report stating that a young man was detained inside a residential apartment in New Cairo, and police forces immediately moved to the location of the report.

Upon investigations, it was found that blogger Razek and her father, in addition to the victim who reported the incident, were inside the apartment.

They were immediately arrested, the necessary case was filed on the incident, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution Office to conduct investigations.
