Remittances from Egyptian expats at US$23.7 billion from January to October: CBE

The Remittances of Egyptians working abroad has achieved successive leaps following the reform measures in March, increasing during October by 68.4 percent to reach about US$2.9 billion, compared to about $1.7 billion during October 2023.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Tuesday that remittances also witnessed an increase from July to October 2024 by 80 percent to reach about $11.2 billion, compared to about $6.2 billion in that period last year.

Thus, the first ten months of 2024 witnessed an increase by 45.3 percent to reach about $ 23.7 billion, compared to about $16.3 billion for last year.
