Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held phone discussions with his counterparts from the UAE, Jordan, Iraq, and Algeria to address the ongoing crisis in Syria.
The conversations included UAE’s Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Jordan’s Ayman Safadi, Iraq’s Fuad Hussein, and Algeria’s Ahmed Attaf, focusing on a unified response to developments in Syria.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The top diplomat stressed the urgent need of coordinated regional and international efforts to stabilize Syria and initiate a Syrian-led, inclusive political process free from foreign interference.
The Minister highlighted the importance of securing broad-based support for Syria during its transitional phase, advocating for steps to end the suffering of its people and reintegrate the country into the regional and global community.
He noted that these efforts are vital for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
