President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio applauded Egypt’s effective capacity building role in his country, expressing hopes to expand the scope of cooperation on that score.
Speaking with Egypt’s new ambassador in Freetown Rasha Soliman, who presented her letters of credence to the African leader during a meeting at the State House in Sierra Leone on Friday, Julius Maada Bio also hailed his country’s coordination with Egypt at multilateral level, as well as Egypt’s key role in regional and international forums and organizations.
He conveyed his greetings to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Egyptian people, emphasizing the important role of diplomacy in supporting peace, development, and economic growth.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian diplomat conveyed the greetings of President Sisi to Sierra Leone’s president, commending the booming ties between both countries recently.
She affirmed her commitment to building on the current momentum in bilateral ties, especially after the three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed between the African countries this year, one of which was signed with the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Egyptian foreign ministry.
