PM affirms strength of comprehensive strategic partnership between Egypt, China

CAIRO, Dec 4 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly Wednesday affirmed the deeply-rooted comprehensive strategic partnership relations between Egypt and China, thanks to efforts of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Chinese President Xi Jinping since December 2014.

This year marks the 10th anniversary since 2014, Madbouly said, adding that the year 2024 is deemed “Egyptian-Chinese partnership year “.

The premier made the remarks during a meeting with CEO of New Hope Company Liu Chang and an accompanying delegation Wednesday evening at the government premises in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Local Development Manal Awad and Minister of Investment and International Trade Hassan al Khatib.

Madbouli praised New Hope Company, which is one of the leading Chinese companies operating in the field of modern agriculture, animal feed, poultry feed and fish feed.

He said that the company has branches in several countries across the world and begun its operations in Egypt in 2011 with five factories in Beni Suef, Sadat, Gamasa, Hawsh Isa and Wadi El Natrun.

The meeting discussed the possibility of doubling the investments of the Chinese New Hope Group in the field of agricultural products, animal and poultry feed, Madbouli said.

Meanwhile, Leo Chang, thanked the premier and ministers of local development and investment and international trade for convening the meeting that reviewed prospective investment opportunities for the company in the Egyptian market in the fields of modern agriculture and food security.

Established in 1998, New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd focuses on the agriculture and animal husbandry industry, the company pays attention to the steady development, the business involves the feed, the breeding, the meat product and the financial investment and the trade.
