Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reiterated, on Sunday 27-10-2024, Egypt’s condemnation of all provocative unilateral measures and policies that threaten the security and the stability of the entire region.
The minister made the remarks during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to stand on the latest developments of the Israeli aggression on Iran.
Abdelatty underlined the importance of avoiding escalating and taking steps towards reaching a cooling off period, warning of the grave consequences of dragging the region to a regional war.
The contact tackled efforts by Egypt in cooperation with Qatar and the US to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and let in humanitarian assistance without any restrictions or preconditions.
The two sides also tackled efforts to end the Israeli aggression on Lebanon as Abdelatty underlined the need to empower State institutions in Lebanon and elect a president of the country without any dictations.
