The Al-Ahly club is set to face off against Zamalek in the final match of the Egyptian Super Cup, after defeating its counterpart Ceramica Cleopatra in the match that brought them together on Sunday.
Ahly faced Ceramica Cleopatra at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE during the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup.
Ahly succeeded in defeating Ceramica Cleopatra with two goals to one, through Taher Mohamed Taher, in the first and 54th minutes, respectively, while Fakhri Lakay scored the only goal for Ceramica Cleopatra in the 45+3rd minute.
With this result, Al-Ahly club qualified for the final of the Egyptian Super Cup to confront Zamalek, who defeated the Pyramids.
Zamalek defeated the Pyramids 5-4 on penalties after the regular time ended in a 1-1 draw.
Ahly is scheduled to meet Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup final on Thursday.
The Mohammed bin Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi will host the final match between Ahly and Zamalek at 8:00 pm Cairo time.
