Hot weather eases across Egypt on Tuesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects a break in the hot weather on Tuesday, as temperatures drop over most of the country by three to four degrees Celsius, amid possible rainfall in some governorates and cities.

The EMA revealed in a statement the expected temperature on Tuesday in Greater Cairo will reach 30C during the day.

Weather maps show the formation of scattered clouds approaching the areas of Matrouh, Fouka, Dabaa, and Sidi Barrani, accompanied by chances of rainfall.

The weather will be hot during the day in most parts of the country, becoming moderate at night and moderately cold in the late night and early morning hours.

There are intermittent chances of rainfall on the western coasts and the northern parts of Nile Delta.

Weather maps have also monitored moderate wind activity in most parts of the country, sometimes active in open areas.

 

Expected temperatures on Tuesday:

  • Northwestern Coast: 27C
  • Greater Cairo: 30C
  • Northern and Central Upper Egypt: 32C
  • South Sinai and Red Sea Mountain Ranges: 35C
  • Southern Upper Egypt: 38C
