The Egyptian Armed Forces unveiled on Thursday the ‘RV-14’ basic trainer aircraft, which has been entirely assembled within the country.
The domestically assembled aircraft took center stage at the military academy graduation ceremony, performing a captivating aerial display, the RT Arabic website reported.
The air show presenter said that the aircraft was 100 percent assembled in Egypt over three consecutive months by the hands of the Air Force personnel in implementation of the directives of the General Command of the Armed Forces. He explained that the aircraft is used for the basic training of Air Force Academy students.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the opening of the new headquarters of the Egyptian Military Academy in the new administrative capital and the graduation of a new batch of cadets.
The two presidents raised the Egyptian flag at the new headquarters to mark its opening, and then military displays began for the various branches of the armed forces as part of the graduation ceremony of the new batches of military colleges.
Sisi was keen to send a message of thanks to his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for attending the ceremony, stressing the depth of relations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi.
