A man in Daqahliya and a child in North Sinai reportedly died from the H1N1 virus, or swine flu, on Wednesday.
Hospitals in six different governorates throughout Egypt, meanwhile, have quarantined a total of 68 suspected swine flu cases.
In Mansoura, 12 people were quarantined, of whom four tested positive for the virus. In Fayoum, the father of a swine flu victim that reportedly succumbed to the virus on Friday also tested positive for the virus.
In Tanta, 20 suspected swine flu cases were quarantined, while four people tested positive for the virus in Kafr al-Sheikh. Three confirmed cases were also reported in Assiut, and another five in Damanhour.
Despite the reappearance of the disease, former chief of the government's anti-swine flu committee Amin Abaza said that the situation remained "under control."
