Egyptian duo Youssef Soliman and Salma Hani won the Australian Open squash title.
The Australian Open is a bronze tournament within the season series.
Hani defeated her colleague Amina Arfi by three games to zero in a match that lasted 45 minutes. She won 11-5, 11-8, and 11-9, respectively.
Hani won her fourth title in her squash career, the FilGoal sports website reported on Sunday.
Youssef Soliman meanwhile defeated Frenchman Victor Crouin by three games to one. The men’s final lasted 60 minutes, and Soliman led by two periods before Crouin reduced the gap. Soliman won the fourth game with a score of 11-6 to clinch the championship title.
The London Classic men’s and women’s squash competitions will start from March 27 to April 1.
The London Classic is a gold category tournament which features the participation of a number of ranked players.
Mostafa Assal and Karim Abdel-Gawad are considered the most prominent Egyptian participants in the men’s competition. The female trio Nour el-Sherbiny, Hania el-Hamami and Nouran Gohar will also participate.
