Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed the signing ceremony of an extension annex to a memorandum of understanding in the field of government development between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in the United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of his participation in the “World Government Summit 2024” held in Dubai from February 12 to 14.
The memorandum was signed by Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala al-Saeed and UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding stems from the distinguished relations between the two governments, and as a reinforcement of the success achieved by the MOU signed between the two countries on February 12, 2018, which has been extended several times, with the latest extension being on March 28, 2022, and it will expire on February 28, 2024.
The MOU included extending the period of implementation of the provisions of the memorandum concluded between Egypt and the UAE in the field of government development for two years until February 28, 2026.
On the sidelines of the signing, El-Saeed pointed out that the MOU reflected the desire of the two governments to continue the journey of enhancing and developing joint procedures aimed at strengthening institutional capacities in the process of governance improvement through mutual benefit in the field of government development, capacity building, and other related areas.
