Massive demonstrations broke out in Tel Aviv and several Israeli cities on Saturday to demand a new prisoner exchange agreement with Palestinian factions, following the accidental killing of three Israeli hostages in Gaza by Israeli forces.
The occupation army said in a statement reported by international media: “Our forces mistakenly shot three Israeli detainees in Gaza.”
A preliminary investigation conducted by the Israeli occupation army revealed, on Saturday, that the detainees who were killed in Gaza waved white flags and spoke in Hebrew saying, “Save us.”
Despite calling for help, the three prisoners were shot down by Israeli forces after they were found wandering through the streets of Gaza.
Israeli media quoted a senior Israeli officer as saying: “We were not prepared for a scenario in which kidnapped people roamed freely in the streets of Gaza.”
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation also announced on Saturday the killing of another Israeli detainee in Gaza, named Inbar Hayman.
