Mohamed al-Oraby, President of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Relations (ECFR), said Israel’s call for Gazans to leave their homes in Gaza Strip and move southwards is a crime violating the international humanitarian law.
Oraby told MENA on Saturday 14/10/2023 that such a step is an episode of the plan of forced displacement of Palestinians to uproot the two-state solution.
Oraby warned that the military escalation, forced displacement, cutting of water, electricity, internet and all services and the call for evacuating hospitals in Gaza prove that the occupation forces take uncalculated decisions and commit crimes against humanity.
The siege, use of starvation and forced displacement of Gazans will have serious human consequences with more violence and revenge, he reiterated.
Egyptian people need to back their wise leadership to address this crisis, he said, citing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s confirmation that Egypt is able to protect and defend itself.
Oraby also urged Arab and Muslim countries to unite ranks and take a strict and quick stance to halt the aggression against Gazans.
