The Dubai Shopping Festival returns on December 8th for its 29th edition, running until January 14 with organizer Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) promising an event that’s bigger than ever with exclusive shopping deals, musical concerts, sports competitions, art shows and so much more.
An entertainment extravaganza
One of the most ground-breaking events promised for this year’s festival is a live performance at the Coca-Cola Arena on December 15 by Arab world superstars Ahlam Alshamsi, the Emirati songbird with 14 best-selling albums and Assala Nasri, the voice behind hits such as Ya Magnoun and Samihtak Kiteer, who have also served as mentors on Arabs Got Talent and Saudi Idol.
Other musical events lined up include the Sole DXB hip-hop festival, making its debut as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival from December 8-10 at the Dubai Design District, and an array of concerts featuring icons such as Najwa Karam, George Wassouf, Kazim al-Saher, Majid al-Mohandis and Omar Khairat.
The Earthsoul Fest promises an ecologically minded musical experience from December 8-10, one that sheds light on the issues of environmental concern facing the planet.
And what festival could ever be complete without the sounds of laughter? This year’s Dubai Shopping Festival features comedy shows guaranteed to make the crowds roar with laughter thanks to a diverse array of A-list comedians.
