Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted Egypt’s keenness on the success of the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) to reach the aspired results.
Shoukry made the remarks during a virtual meeting of the COP office on the fringe of ongoing meetings in Bonn.
The foreign minister said efforts are under way to put into effect the decisions, recommendations and resolutions of the COP27 which Egypt hosted last November, especially as regards the Loss and Damage Fund, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The office meetings tackled a number of top priority issues of international climate action.
The talks took up ongoing preparations for the COP28 due to be held in the UAE by the end of the year.
