Deputy Director of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) Mohamed Ibrahim Dweiri stressed that the convocation of the economic conference in the presence of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reflects the political leadership’s interest in addressing the economic problems with transparency at this critical timing to find swift solutions.
This came in statements to MENA on the fringe of the Egypt Economic Conference 2022 which opens Sunday and lasts for three days.
Ministers, especially those concerned with the economy, will comprehensively review during their participation in the event the current economic conditions and each in its own specialization, he said.
He highlighted the importance of the conference in light of the escalating international economic crisis on the back of the coronavirus pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
The conference aims to support the Egyptian economy to be in the best conditions in light of the current regional and economic challenges, he said, referring to the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to curb as much as possible the impact of the international crisis on the economy.
Dweiri voiced hope that the conference’s recommendations would positively develop and promote the Egyptian economy so that the conference will be the starting point for better vistas despite the international crisis, citing Egypt’s great potentials in this respect.
