Egyptian athlete Mostafa Amr has qualified for the final of the shot put competition at the Tokyo Olympics, after achieving a record of 21:23 meters, his best number in the current season.
On Thursday, Amr will play in the final in hope of winning another medal for Egypt in Tokyo.
In this year’s games, Egypt has so far won two bronze medals through Taekwondo stars Hedaya Wahba and Saif Eissa.
The country’s delegation in Tokyo is the largest it has ever been in history, with 137 athletes competing in 23 different sports.
