Meteorologists expect cold weather in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and along the country’s northwestern coast on Saturday, with more mild weather predicted along Egypt’s northeastern coast and in central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Moderate rainfall in separate areas of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt is also predicted for Saturday, with moderate to heavy rainfall along the northern coasts and in central Sinai.
Warmer temperatures are expected in South Sinai and Hurghada, southern Upper Egypt, and Halayeb and Shalateen, with the weather predicted to grow colder throughout the country overnight.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Cairo and Alexandria, 19C in Qena, and 20C in Luxor and 20C in Aswan.
Meteorologists expect active winds in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, central Sinai, South Sinai, Hurghada, and along Egypt’s northern coasts, possibly disrupting maritime navigation on the Mediterranean and Red Seas.
Active winds and cloudy weather are also expected in Upper Egypt, Halayeb, and Shalateen.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be turbulent, ranging between three and 3.8 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
