Egypt’s meteorologists expect hot weather to continue on Monday across Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, with very hot weather at southern Upper Egypt during the daytime, and moderate weather along the northern coasts.
The weather will grow milder by night across the country.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 32C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 40C in Qena, 41C in Luxor and 42C in Aswan.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning over the northern parts of the country, with low-level clouds anticipated.
Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate, disturbing sands on South Sinai, and maritime navigation on the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate and range between one and 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between two and 2.5 meters with northwestern winds on both seas.
