Meteorologists predict moderate weather along Egypt’s northern coast, and warmer humid weather in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and north Upper Egypt on Thursday and very hot weather in Upper Egypt, growing milder at night.
Temperatures predicted include 31C in Alexandria, 37C in Cairo, 41C in Qena, 42C in Luxor and Aswan.
Mist will affect visibility in Egypt’s northern parts, in the morning, and low to medium-level clouds are expected on the north.
North-easterly winds are anticipated to be active in South Sinai and south of the country, accompanied by dust and sand in some areas. They are expected to be active as well in the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate and range between one and 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough and range between 2.5 and 3 meters.
North-westerly surface winds are predicted over both seas.
