Official spokesperson of the Egyptian Armed Forces Tamer al-Refai announced on Saturday that the Egyptian Air Force – in cooperation with police – have successfully wiped out a terrorist cell in the Western Desert which was planning out attacks.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Refai added that the operation resulted in the elimination of eight top-dangerous terrorists, and the arrest of others alongside the destruction three four-wheeled vehicles.
Their hideout was filled with various quantities of weapons, ammunition and food supplies.
Refai stressed that the Armed Forces and the police are continuing their efforts in pursuing terrorists and criminal elements to preserve Egypt’s security and stability.
