Meteorologists predict cold weather to continue on Sunday across Egypt during daylight hours, moderate in southern Upper Egypt and growing cold by night in all parts.
Frost is also expected to accumulate on plants in central Sinai in the early hours of the morning. Mist will also affect visibility across the country’s northern parts until northern Upper Egypt during the morning.
Low and medium-level clouds are expected to increase on the northern parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall on northern coast and parts of Lower Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 18C in Alexandria, 17C in Cairo, 19C in Qena and Luxor, and 19C in Aswan.
Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate, active in the Red Sea and possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate ranging between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, while aves in the Red Sea will range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height.
Surface winds will be northwesterly for both seas.
