Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Tuesday that Egypt is keen on enhancing constructive cooperation and bilateral relations with Sudan.
During a meeting with Sudanese president Omar al-Basher in Sharm al-Sheikh, Basher said that his country coordinates situations with Sudan based on the unity between the people Egypt and Sudan.
Sisi hailed the positive results of the joint “Sudanese-Egyptian” presidential committee, held in October in Sudan.
Basher said that the Sudanese government is willing to maintain intensive consultations and activate bilateral cooperation in a way the bolsters the historic relationships between the two countries.
Meanwhile, spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady said that the two presidents also discussed joint projects in the fields of electricity and railway transportation, as well as support for economic cooperation and increasing trade exchange.
