Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, Ahmed Abdel Aal warned of hot temperatures during Eid al-Fitr.
Temperatures will first decrease on Monday and Tuesday before it gradually rising to reach 37C on Thursday. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the three days of Eid, temperatures will reach 38C, 39C and 40C respectively.
For Monday, weather forecasters predict a gradual decline in temperatures in the north of the country, with mild weather along the north coast, hot weather in Lower Egypt and Cairo, and high temperatures for the south. Night is predicted to be cooler.
Mist will affect visibility in the north in some areas of Lower Egypt and Cairo. Low and medium level clouds will appear in the north.
Winds are expected to be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength, active in areas north of the country and north of Upper Egypt.
