Detectives in Luxor revealed this Sunday answers to the mystery behind the murdered child who was found stabbed in the stomach in al-Ghoul canal in al-Maryas village.
After finding the child's body stabbed in the abdomen, Major General Essam al-Hamly, Deputy Interior Minister for Luxor security, was notified.
Investigations showed that the victim, Hassan Gharib Ali, was lured by his friends to the outskirts of the village where they threw him on the ground and proceeded to stabbed him using a sharp tool.
When they were not successful in taking his life, they dragged him and threw his body into the canal and put their feet on his head so that he would not escape until he passed away. Once he was dead, they took his mobile phone and escaped.
Police arrested the two children who admitted committing the murder and were referred to prosecution for further investigations. Edited translation from Al-Masry Al-Youm
