Alexandria Security Department has approved the attendance of 75,000 fans at the football match between Egypt and Ghana in November, in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has received security approval for the match, which will take place on November 13 at the Borg al-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
The sports minister has notified the EFA of the approval and tickets will be available from November 1, according to Nile News television channel.
The Fifa World Cup draw placed Egypt in Group E in the race to Russia 2018, along with Ghana, Congo and Uganda.
Egypt has won seven AFCON titles, including three in a row starting in 2006. However, their last appearance at the World Cup was back in 1990, when many of the current Pharaohs’ players were not even born.
