Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Wednesday in Cairo and Lower Egypt, and hotter weather in the north of Upper Egypt, with a maximum of 34 degrees centigrade in the captial.
Very hot weather is predicted in the south of Upper Egypt. Qena should hit 39C, while Luxor will be around 39C and Aswan around 40C.
The north of Egypt, meanwhile, will be cooler, with Alexandria at 32C, while the Sinai resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh will be a much warmer 36C.
Mist will affect visibility on roads in the morning along the north coast, in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities. Medium and low-level clouds are expected along the north coast.
The wind will be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength. It will be active in the south and north of the country, Sinai, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1 and 2 meters high, while on the Red Sea they should be 2 to 2.5 meters high. A northwesterly surface wind is expected on both seas.
