
Meteorologists are predicting a steady continuation of this week’s summer temperatures going into the new week.
Very warm weather is forecast for the north coast, with temperatures reaching 32 degrees centigrade in Alexandria, while very hot weather is expected for the rest of the country. The heat will ease off through the night heading into Monday.
A sea mist coming in off the Mediterranean will mean a foggy start to Sunday morning on the sea front of the north coast, and could affect towns and cities along the Suez canal and as far inland as Cairo. The west of the country will see some light and moderate cloud cover.
The prevailing wind will be northwesterly, and will be felt most strongly in the northern regions of Upper Egypt, Sinai, on the Red Sea and the Suez Gulf.
The Mediterranean will see waves of up to two meters high, and the Red Sea; waves of up to 2.5 meters.
