Meteorologists are predicting a gradual increase in temperatures starting Friday, with top temperatures reaching 36 degrees centigrade in Cairo.
Moderate weather is expected along the north coast, with highs of 30 degrees centigrade for Alexandria.
The weather will feel hotter in Lower Egypt andthe north Upper Egypt, with highs of 40 degrees centigrade in Qena. The weather will be very hot in Upper Egypt, reaching 41 in Luxor and 42 in Aswan.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Suez Canal cities. Low- and medium-level clouds will appear along the north coast.
The prevailing wind will be northeasterly and moderately strong. It will be active in the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, disrupting navigation.
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1 and 1.5 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 1.5 and 2 meters. A northwesterly surface wind will blow in over both seas.
