Six policemen were injured in an IED blast Thursday on the international road in the North Sinai city of Arish.
The IED exploded as the victims' armored vehicle passed at the scene of the incident.
Security sources said unidentified men planted the IED at al-Midan area, Arish, targeting security forces.
A low-ranking police officer and five soldiers were injured and transferred to the hospital, said the sources.
Security combed the area in search of other bombs and are seeking the perpetrators.
