The High Elections Commission has reiterated the enforcement of a LE500 fine for whomever fails to cast his vote in the elections for the House of Representatives which kicked off Sunday for Egyptians.
HEC head Ayman Abbas, a president of the Cairo Appeals court, said the fine is enshrined in the Law of the Exercise of Political Rights and applies to registered voters who, for no reason, do not attend the elections.
