Students are banned from discussing politics and religion inside the academy, said Ahlam Younes, the director of the Academy of Arts and dean of the Higher Institute of Ballet, in a recent interview with Al-Masry Al-Youm.
"We have arts and the love of the homeland, but politics are banned to prevent quarrels," she said.
Younes added that students were busy with their studies which absorb most of their energy and time.
Students are not allowed to express support for a political party on campus during elections, Younes added.
