Cairo governor Galal Saeed has announced five major projects in the transportation sector to face traffic congestion.
Saeed pointed out that the private sector will be involved in the projects.
The projects include contributions from companies specialized in transportation services. They involve operating public air-conditioned and double-decker buses, establishing a market to sell second-hand vehicles, establishing a city to sell new vehicles on 60 acres in New Cairo, establishing a garage for 1,000 cars in the Sheraton area and establishing a garage for trucks in the Tora area.
