Egypt’s market loses LE9.1 bn on Tuesday, EGX30 falls 3.4 %

Egypt's market incurred heavy losses during Tuesday's session, as the benchmark EGX30 index plunged 3.38 percent to 6,921.77 points, with a turnover of LE475 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
 
The small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index dropped 3.49 percent and 2.61 percent, respectively.
 
Local and foreign institutions were net sellers recording net flows of LE35.7 million and LE23.1 million respectively, while Arab institutions were net buyers recording net flows of LE19 million.
 
The EGX market lost LE9.12 billion (US$1.17 billion), hitting LE434.81 billion, compared to Monday's LE443.93 billion.
