Four policemen were injured in an anonymous attack on a checkpoint on the Beni Suef-Fayoum agricultural road Wednesday evening, near Abeshna village.
Twelve suspects from the Belefia, Abeshna and Hager villages were arrested following the incident. One of the suspects was in possession of two tear gas bombs. The suspects were referred to the prosecution for interrogation.
The injured policemen were transferred to Agouza Hospital in Giza.
