Dozens of workers of the Suez Integrated Oil Industries Company staged a sit-in on Saturday in front of the company headquarters to protest against the owner closing down the facilities and laying off the employees.
Hani Ahmed, one of the worker, said the company had stopped paying wages, but that it continues to import oil, storing it at other nearby factories.
The governor of Suez has promised to discuss the matter with the Prime Minister.
