Former Scientific Research Minister and head of the committee specialized in developing the draft law for conducting experiments on animals Nadia Zakhary said the committee had agreed on the preliminary draft law during its last meeting, held at the Scienfic Research and Technology Academy on Tuesday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Zakhary added that the committee recommended organizing a symposium in the beginning of October to discuss the final version of the bill.
The committee discussed the bill with the chairwoman of the National Committee for Women in Science Farkhonda Hassan, professor Magdy Shehata, professor Fathy Farouk, professor Hala Farouk, professor Saeed Jowaily, professor Magda Shokry, professor Hany Selim, professor Ahmed al-Sherbieny, and professor Khadiga Gaafar.
