Cairo Security Directorate has developed a plan in coordination with other security bodies to guarantee safety and efficient traffic during Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Assistant Interior Minister for Cairo security, Major General Ossama Bedeir has ordered the Cairo Security Directorate to implement an action plan to guarantee the security forces' presence in the streets, in roder to prevent crime, in compliance with the rule of law and with full respect to human rights.
The plan includes strengthening security presence around banks, parks, squares, cinemas, and malls, as well as downtown Cairo which is overcrowded on holidays.
The plan focuses as well on preventing sexual harassment, the control of illegal trade of fireworks, in addition to controlling traffic.
