Egypt’s market loses LE3.6 billion on Monday, EGX30 falls 1.4%

Egypt's market closed in the red zone on Monday's session, as the benchmark EGX30 index declined by 1.36 percent, recording 7,587.07 points and a turnover of LE414 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.

Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index went down by 0.87 percent and 1.45 percent, respectively.  

Local and Arab institutions were net sellers, recording net flows of LE45.6 million and LE2.3 million, respectively, while foreign institutions were net buyers, recording net flows of LE33.6 million.

The EGX market capital lost LE3.36 billion (US$470 million), hitting LE471.72 billion, compared to LE475.35 billion on Sunday
