Egypt's market on Thursday recovered slightly from a steep downtrend, as the benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.88 percent, recording 7,617.39 points and a turnover of LE465 million, the Egyptian Exchange data showed.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index inched up by 0.73 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively.
Local and Arab institutions were net sellers, recording net flows of LE6.2 million and LE19 million, respectively, while foreign institutions were net buyers, recording net flows of LE2 million.
The EGX market capital gained LE1.13 billion (US$147 million), hitting LE474 billion, compared to LE472.87 billion on Wednesday.
