Five people were injured by a bomb planted by unidentified assailants near Eitay al-Baroud Court in Beheira, according to Health Ministry Undersecretary Alaa Eddin Osman.
The injuries were slight, he pointed out.
Two cars were destroyed in the incident and the injured were transferred to Eitay al-Baroud General Hospital, he added.
Residents of Eitay al-Baroud were concerned after hearing a loud explosion at the vicinity of Eitay al-Baroud Court. The Civil Protection Forces moved to the scene and bomb squads combed the surrounding area in search of other explosives.
