A state of terror prevailed among residents of the al-Rahmaneya village in Abu Kebir, Sharqiya governorate, following a water pipe bombing on Wednesday.
According to a notification received by head of the Sharqiya Security Directorate Meligy Fattouh Meligy, a water pipe near the al-Sababa water channel was bombed Wednesday morning.
Bomb squads inspected the scene of the incident and discovered that the pipe was bombed with an IED planted under the pipe. They combed the surrounding area in search of other bombs.
A claim was filed on the incident and the prosecution took over the investigation.
