A policeman was killed and three recruits were injured on Wednesday when a bomb, targetting an armored vehicle in Arish city, North Sinai, exploded.
Sources and eyewitnesses said extremists planted the bomb on Assiut Street in Arish and remotely exploded it while an armored vehicle was passing, killing the policeman and wounding three recruits. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Several houses were damaged during the explosion. A few other bombs also went off in Arish on Wednesday.
