Artist Mohamed Gomaa is paralyzed and cannot speak, but this did not stop him from enjoying his life and practicing his favorite hobby, which is painting with his nose.
His cousin Fayrouz says Gomaa’s talent began with a puzzle. “He can put together a puzzle of 1,500 pieces,” she says. “He can easily decipher complicated shapes.”
Then he started drawing forms on the computer with the “Word” program, using his nose to press the buttons on the keyboard.
“He draws beautiful graphics and knows how to use shades to the extent that his friends advised him to display them in an exhibition,” she says. “People liked his work and bought many of his paintings.”
