Baseera: 15% of Egyptians watch Abla Fahita show

The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) has conducted a poll about the viewership rate of the Abla Fahita program and the people's opinion on whether the program was suitable to be displayed on TV, showing that 15 percent of Egyptians watch the program.
 
Respondents were 18 years old and older. The results showed that 15 percent of Egyptians watch the program, equal to almost 8 million, while 85 percent do not watch it.
 
The program's viewership rate rises from 12 percent in rural areas to 18 percent in urban areas. Females are more interested in the show as 18 percent of females watch it, compared to 11 percent males.
 
Those who hold high education certificates are the top viewers as they made up 23 percent of the audience, compared to 13 percent who hold less than intermidiate education certificates. The rate is higher among the higher social class as it reaches 23 percent compared to 11 percent among the poor class.
 
Sixty-eight percent of the audience watch the program on TV on CBC Channel, 3 percent said they watch it on CBC's YouTube channel and Facebook page, 7 percent said they watch it on other channels, 21 percent said they do not know CBC, and 1 percent said they get it from other sources.
 
The audience of the program were divided on whether the program was suitable to be displayed on TV, as 42 percent opined that it was suitable and 42 percent said it was not. Sixteen percent said they did not know.
 
Thirty-one percent of audience said they liked the program, 22 percent said they liked it some extent, while 34 percent said they did not like the program at all and 13 percent said they could not decide.
 
The rate of the program's fans between 18 to 29 is 37 percent, while among those over 50 years old is 31 percent, according to Baseera poll.
