Tourism Minister orders investigations into restaurant for denying access to Saudi family

Tourism Minister said he instructed the authoritative body on tourist and hotel establishments to conduct investigation into a restaurant in Sheikh Zayed that allegedly denied access to a Saudi family for wearing traditional Saudi clothes.
 
Ramy praised the supportive role played by Saudi Arabia toward Egypt as well as interests to strengthen ties with Arab countries in field of tourism. He added that the incidents will be interrogated and do not represent Egyptians.
 
In related news, Ramy stressed importance of Arab tourism to Egypt, adding that the Egypt Is Close Campaign that targets the Arab tourism will be launched on May 25.
 
The campaign, which includes media and billboard ads, aims increase Arab tourism at least by 30 percent this year.
 
Ramy said that the Arab tourists’ needs have changed, as many of them prefer accommodation in hotel rooms rather than serviced apartments.
