Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damaty said in a statement on Thursday that Egypt wil receive 32 smuggled artifacts from Switzerland in June.
The ministry has proved that the artifacts have been illegally excavated and smuggled out of Egypt.
The minister said the artifacts will be delivered to the Federal Office of Culture in Bern, where a celebration will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Swiss egislation, banning the illegal trade of cultural property between countries.
The statement said the ministry monitors the auctions where smuggled artifacts are sold abroad and brings them back to Egypt under international agreements it has signed for that purpose.
