Hussein Eissa, President of Ain Shams University, is opening the second international conference on the history of Egypt in the Christian era on May 5 at the conference hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Attending the conference are Pope Tawadros II, Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damaty and 400 university professors, including 18 foreign professors.
Dr. Tarek Mansour of the Faculty of Arts said the conference reflects the vision of the university for a need to renew the national religious discourse on the basis of camaraderie between religions, and sends a message of peace to confirm that all people are of one integrated fabric.
