Masked gunmen attacked a military train in Upper Egypt Wednesday morning, injuring three army personnel.
The train was on its way from Aswan to Cairo and was attacked in Beni Suef.
Security officers quickly arrived to the scene and set up a security cordon around the Beni Haidar area where the attack occurred. Plantations adjacent to the railway were searched for signs of the attackers. The incident suspended railway operations for 3 hours.
